A loan helped to buy seeds and fertilizer to increase her farm’s output.

Janice's story

Janice is a 52-year-old mother of four children. She farms beans and maize to support her family.

Janice is taking a Kiva loan to buy seeds and fertilizer to increase her farm’s output and so her income. She intends to use her anticipated profits to buy food and clothing for her children.

Janice joined Kiva's field partner Hand in Hand Eastern Africa in the year 2024 so as to benefit from its enterprise development, savings, financial management, and record keeping trainings. She is grateful to Kiva and its lenders for the financial support and promise to repay this loan promptly.
