A loan helped to buy animals and expand her guinea pig pens.

Nelly's story

Nelly, 49, lives in northwest Colombia, in the municipality of Contadero. She is the mother of 3 children who are all grown and independent. She lives in her own house, and has experience raising small animals, such as guinea pigs, as she's been doing this work since she was very young. She also has a cattle and dairy business. With the profits from her business, she has been able to support and contribute financially to her household, and she's had better financial stability, enabling her to expand her production of guinea pigs and livestock, as well as her assets and those of her family.

Nelly is requesting a loan in the sum of 2.145 million Colombian pesos to buy breeding stock and expand her guinea pig pens.
