Juliana's story

Juliana lives in the municipality of Contadero, in the Nariño Department in the south east of Colombia where the majority of the community make a living from rearing cattle and milk production. Juliana is 22 years old, she is single, she currently lives with her mother and sister. Her mother makes a living from dairy cattle and her sister is studying psychology.
Juliana has made a living for 6 years from cattle and milk production. She learned the business from her family. She sells the product to a well known businessman in the region. Juliana is applying for a loan of $2,077,000 COP to spend on the lease of the land where she keeps her calves. Her goal is to increase her working capital, save and continue studying.
