A loan helped to pay for the working and fertilizing of a lonely woman's lands so they will be ready for the next planting season.

Miranda's story

Miranda is a 61-year-old woman from a small village in southeast Albania. She lives alone in a small house. Her only source of income is what she can provide from her agricultural activity. She plants mainly onions, potatoes, wheat, and fodder for her cattle. She has one cow and one calf. She plans to keep the calf so she can sell more milk next year. But not selling the calf means that she lacks the financial means to pay for someone to work and fertilize her lands. She is therefore hoping for her first Kiva loan to pay for the working and fertilizing of her lands so that they will be ready for the next planting season.

Miranda thanks all Kiva lenders for their support and wishes them a prosperous end of the year.
