A loan helped me create a sustainable channel for craft distilleries to distribute.

Lia's story

In 2015 I started my first job in the printing and packaging world. Little did I know its primary focus would be on decorating craft spirits bottles. With data entry, general customer service, and long hours on the production floor, I started my career as anyone would. I quickly worked my way up and am now a minority owner in my current company, Ink360.

I started to offer guidance to emerging brands and dove deep into the industry's legal side to become a valuable resource to my customers.

Over the last year, I've noticed a lack of distribution support for craft distilleries compared to billion-dollar brands. To get craft products on shelves, the small, locally owned businesses lose a substantial portion of revenue. I want to change that. These businesses already put so much time, money, and effort into promoting the brand. They don't need someone who knows nothing about them and their process to try and sell it. They just need an avenue to get the product from their location to the retail outlets that already want to support their local spirits manufacturers. Federal and state regulations don't allow this. You must go through a distributor. So I am taking the step to create that for them. Making this channel at a low margin, allows the majority of the revenue to stay in the community that produces the spirit and enables the community to support their local business on a more accessible platform continually. My dream one day is to walk into a liquor store or a local bar/restaurant and see the hand-crafted and local spirits on every shelf.
