Lino's story

Lino is a modest and a hardworking 47-year-old man who has amazing skill in furniture making. He lives in Covalima municipality with his family, and it is one of the most financially excluded cities in East Timor.

Lino has a carpentry business which he started with his own working capital and the business has been running for many years now. Lino enjoys running the carpentry business because it allows him to be independent and provide a better, healthy life for his family.

He is requesting a $1,500 loan through KIF to help him to buy some timbers, glue, nails, and some new carpentry machines in order to make more furniture to sell so that he can generate income for his family. Lino hopes to run a bigger business in the future as the result of the investment and wants to thank all lenders for the opportunity.
