Business Description
I train dogs for basic obedience. I help the owners build the bond with their dogs while also teaching the owners how to teach their dogs. My husband and I opened this business to help dogs stay in their home and out of rescue. We officially started in April. We work with multiple rescues but currently very heavily involved with Upper Midwest Great Dane Rescue. I see way too many dogs turned into the rescue who have zero training. If they had some, most likely they would not end up in rescue. We have a location we rent in Madison on Saturdays. During the week we operate in Waukesha/Milwaukee areas.
What is the purpose of this loan?
We currently have 1-2 dogs a night we train at their homes as we do not have a building. We can't take in any more dogs at this point because there is not enough time in the day. This loan will help us secure a building to do training in. We then can hold 3 classes a night with up to 10 dogs in each class. The loan will help cover the building rent, paint, flooring and a few more pieces of equipment. By getting this loan, we can get that building, continue training dogs. We want to keep them safe in their homes and not end up in the shelter. If we do not have a building, we will loose our evening trainees as the weather turns and it gets cold and snowy.

By bearing this risk, lenders protect the partner and its borrowers from catastrophic currency devaluations and contribute to the sustainability of their operations.

"Yes" means the Lending Partner will cover any currency loss. Lenders will not bear losses due to currency fluctuation

I had the pleasure of speaking with Kerry regarding her business, Colt’s Canine Club. Kerry has a chronic illness and is considered disabled but she is a very determined entrepreneur and is ready to take her part-time business to the next level – one that will give her full-time work. Kerry has a chronic illness and is considered disabled but she is a very determined entrepreneur and is ready to take her part-time business to the next level – one that will give her full-time work. She also expects her husband to join Colt’s Canine Club as a full-time employee within a year. She has taken her love (and success) of fostering dogs waiting to be adopted, many of these dogs were abused and need special care and training before they can be placed in their forever home. She knew she could take this talent for dog training and make it a business. She started with one client just as Covid-19 hit but was able to add a 2nd in June and now has 40 clients and is teaching classes at a facility that she rents in Madison on Saturdays.
