A loan helped to buy fodder for her 9 cows and 6 goats for the winter season so she will be secure that her livestock will have enough fodder.

Miranda's story

Livestock is the main activity for Miranda's family. She has 9 cows and 6 goats from which she sells the row milk daily and once per year the baby calves and goats. "I believe that livestock is the most secure way of providing in a village, as you have a stable daily income! Mine are a lot and require a lot of dedication and expenses of maintenance, but we all take good care of them, and really appreciate the fact that they provide our living!" said Miranda during the interview, referring her livestock.

Miranda is married and the mother of two, a 26-year-old, married and father of a 4-year-old-boy son, and a 21-year-old daughter. Her daughter-in-law also lives together with her family, who she considers as her second daughter.

Miranda is hoping for Kiva lenders' support to buy fodder for her 9 cows and 6 goats for the winter season so she will be secure that her livestock will have enough fodder.
