Erin's story

I grew up in Antigo, a small community in Central Wisconsin. We are known for our farmland, primarily dairy and potatoes but also hydroponic vegetables and an organic apple orchard. I've found our community to be incredibly supportive of my goals to start a plant-based and gluten-free cake business. Working out of the kitchen at our local apple orchard is going to allow me to keep startup costs low while growing my business. My dream is to own my own cafe that offers my delicious cakes and other goodies, healthy meal options, small plates, coffee, tea, fresh juices, local beer, wine and cider. I started making these cakes as a creative outlet while going through a very difficult breakup and it has flourished into such a beautiful passion of mine that many other businesses are looking forward to offering and supporting. The desserts won first place in a local dessert competition and my business plan was selected to win a grant through our local Economic Development Center.
