Kuga Na Gwika Shg Group's story

The lady raising her hand in the photo is Lucy. She is 42 years old, married, and blessed with three children. She is a member of Kuga Na Gwika SHG Group, which joined Hand in Hand Eastern Africa to benefit from enterprise development and financial management training.

She does banana farming. She is borrowing a Kiva loan to buy fertilizer and banana suckers. She hopes this will increase her production; hence, increase her income. She will therefore use the anticipated income to pay school fees for her children, as well as provide food and clothing for her family.
