Partner Description:

Adobe Capital is an impact investment firm that focuses on supporting social and environmental businesses in the early stages of growth in Mexico. Adobe Capital was created to improve upon the work done by New Ventures Mexico, a non-profit founded by the World Resources Institute to accelerate the distribution of capital to social businesses in Mexico.

Adobe Capital receives several benefits from its partnership with New Ventures Mexico. Adobe Capital is able to use New Ventures Mexico’s network  to expand its sources of investment. New Ventures Mexico also offers services such as technical assistance and marketing guidance to Adobe Capital borrowers.

Adobe Capital funds 3 social ventures: FINAE (an education company),Greenland (a green cleaning product manufacturer), and SalaUno (a healthcare social enterprise). The firm is currently in the process of finalizing an investment in Sala Uno, an organization offering eye surgeries to low-income people.

Several large institutional funders including the Inter-American Development Bank and the German Development Bank have endorsed Adobe Capital.

A unique lending approach:

Adobe Capital provides 2 types of low-cost loans: revolving loans for working capital and capital expenditure loans. Revolving loans for working capital fund ongoing business needs such as inventory. Capital expenditure loans finance equipment necessary for business expansion.
