A loan helped a member to buy stocks of fruits and vegetables.

Suubi Development Group Bweya's story

Erina is a repeat client of Ugafode microfinance. She previously took a loan of UGX 1,000,000. She is a married woman with children.

She is a businesswoman, who owns a market stall selling fruits and vegetables. In a bid to increase her working capital, expand the business and buy more stock of fruits and vegetables, she has applied for a loan of UGX 500,000. She is faced with the challenges of competition and lack of enough capital.

Erina and the other group members are very grateful for the support that Ugafode microfinance and Kiva lenders have offered, as they are now able to fund their businesses.

The UGAFODE Credit staff is standing at the front extreme left. The lady at the extreme right has a loan with different terms, though she belongs to the group, and signed a waiver form.
