A loan helped to buy more dried fish.

Salome's story

Salome, a 48-year-old mother, lives in Garcia Hernandez, Bohol. Motivated to provide for her children, she now owns a thriving business selling dried fish. It is a favorite breakfast food for Filipinos. It is usually fried and dipped in vinegar paired with rice. She is asking for a loan to buy more dried fish so she can accommodate more orders from her customers. Salome is happy that her business allows her to send her children to school. As a responsible mother, she hopes that all her children will be successful in their studies and for them to become professionals someday. They are aged 5 to 17.
