Janet is 40 years old and a member of Kasanga group, in which members guarantee one another to acquire a group loan without pledging any security. She is a single mother with a responsibility of looking after two children.
Janet operates a bar, having been in business for 10 years. She started with capital of 200,000 thousand and her business has grown as her capital has also increased.
