Roohi Bano Akhtar Hussain Group's story

Roohi bano baji is 40 years old married lady and a citizen of a city named Lahore, Pakistan for the past 50 years. Roohi baji married a man whose name is A. H. and he runs a shop where he prepares embroidered clothes with the help of an embroidery machine. Roohi baji is the mother of five kids: four daughters and one son. All of her kids are getting an education from a local school. Roohi baji operates a decorative embroidery business. She prepares embroidered dresses by taking orders from her neighbors and relatives. She charges $3 per embroidered dress. She is applying for a loan to buy another embroidery machine to expand her husband’s decorative embroidery business.

Roohi bano baji is the group leader of two other women from her locality. Zeenat naz baji wants a loan to buy thread to sell. Amna baji wants a loan to buy beams for her shuttering business.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.
