Ahmad is a young farmer. He is standing in the middle along with his group members in the picture. He is 35 years old and lives in a village called Allah Ditta in Gujranwala district in Pakistan.
He grows rice and wheat for his family's consumption and to sell the extra produce in a nearby market, since in this way he generates income to cover other family necessities. He has a lot of experience, given that from a young age he began working in the fields helping his parents in order to subsist.
He and his group members are requesting a loan in order to buy agricultural supplies with which they will initiate the preparation of the land in which they will plant rice, as well as pay the fee for labor. It will be useful to them to increase the area under cultivation and to have a more abundant harvest.
Ahmad's aspirations are to store the harvest for the family’s consumption and to have future sales at the best price.
