She is a married 39 year old mother of three children and her husband is a self employed builder. Her husband’s income is not sufficient to cover all the family’s expenses. Caroline helps by selling clothes to pay for family expenses. For the past three years, she has been buying and selling clothes from South Africa.
Caroline plans move away from selling in the streets and open a boutique in the city. She wants to move away from the harsh environment and constant abuse from the city officials who are always taking bribes.
