Mrs. Ha, pictured first on the right, is 42 years old. She works in agricultural production and earns a monthly income of about VND 600,000 ($28). Her husband does not have a stable job and her children are still in school.
Her household does not currently have a hygienic toilet. Ha is fully aware of the fact that using a degraded double-pit latrine has many risks, including potential adverse effects on the health of her family members and her community, as well as environmental contamination.
With this loan she will build a septic tank toilet which will improve the hygiene and health for the family members and contribute to sanitary improvement in her community.
