A loan helped to buy fashion items with which to launch her clothing business.

Rozali's story

Rozali is a 22-year-old entrepreneur and volunteer Camfed Learner Guide, living with her parents and her child, as a single mother, in the Morogoro district.

Volunteering as a Learner Guide, she teaches life skills to students in her local secondary school, including lessons on effective communication and personal confidence.

As she currently doesn't have her own business, Rozali is now requesting a Kiva loan in order to launch a venture in clothing retail. She will use the loan to buy a variety of clothing items with which to launch her business.

Rozali plans to use the profit she earns to send her child to school and support her family's daily needs, while also pursuing her dream of escaping financial dependency and becoming a successful entrepreneur.

The interest on her “social-interest” loan will be repaid through Rozali's weekly two and a half hours of volunteering, which are so valuable for Camfed’s younger students.
