Jayacaxtepec Group's story

The members of Jayacaxtepec Group are the heads of families living in a very small village of Mexico, who have decided to have, for the first time, a basic electricity service with the installation of Small Solar Home Systems (SSHS) in their houses.

Irineo (in the thumbnail) is the youngest member of this group. He and his wife have two little children and would like to improve the living conditions of their 12-sqm house with the 4 hours of electrical lighting daily, as well as connection to other small appliances, that the SSHS can provide.

Funding is asked for financing those SSHS, which will be paid back with the monthly fee that these farmers pay for maintenance services during the first year of operation.

In this group: Leonardo, Victoria, Ismael, Mario, Ana, Marciano, Silvia, Juvencio, Hector, Irineo, Bartolo, Evodio, Primitivo, Heriberto
