Nan's story

Nan is a 53-year-old married rice farmer with three children. Her husband is also a rice farmer, and they have been cultivating rice for over 14 years. One of Nan's children is a garment worker and two are construction workers. They all live in Kampong Speu province, Cambodia and, together, they earn approximately $18 a day.

To earn more income for the family, Nan has decided to secure a loan to buy a cow to breed for calves to sell. This loan will enable her to make more income to improve her family's living conditions. In the future, Nan wants to buy more soil to fill the yard around her house.
