A loan helped a member to purchase tables and a refrigerator in order to serve more customers and expand her business.

Las Concentidas Group's story

Maria is a 24-year-old woman. She lives with her spouse, they have two children who are 8 and 9 years old, and her business is the sale of traditional food.

She is resourceful, independent, tenacious, responsible, hardworking, and a good mother. She does her work in the "Plan 3000" zone, a place known for the growth of its population, who come from the Ayoreas tribe or are miners relocated from the west. It has a tropical climate with a constant year-round temperature between 27 and 32 degrees Celsius.

Maria has dark skin and long black hair; she is of medium stature. Her mother tongue is Guaraní, and she also speaks Spanish (she is seated on the left with a black top). She shares her life with her partner, who works in construction, and their two children, who are in school. They live in a house that they own and they have running water and electricity.

Her business is the sale of traditional foods. Every night, she prepares some of the ingredients for her meals to have them ready to cook in the early hours of the day. Her specialties are meals to go, like "pacumutu" (skewered meat and cassava on a cane stick, grilled over hot coals), "sonso de yuca" (mashed cassava, mixed with cheese and grilled over hot coals), and "majadito" (yellow rice, fried egg, and plantain).

She already has one year of experience in the field, and this is her first loan with the institution. Her dream is to have a profitable business with a large clientele, so she would like to expand her business by purchasing tables and a refrigerator. This way, she would have more space to serve her customers and she would leave prepared food in the refrigerator to be cooked to order, saving time and money.

For these reasons, Maria is requesting a loan for the purchase of tables and a refrigerator in order to serve more customers and expand her business.
