Karina's story

Karina is 31 years old, partnered, has 2 children, and lives with her family in a rural zone in Oyotún district, Chiclayo province, Lambayeque region, on the northern coast of Peru. Her community primarily works in agriculture, animal husbandry, and trade.

Karina works growing and selling animals (ducks, guinea pigs, rabbits, among others), with more than 10 years of experience in the business, which is located in the rear part of her home. She asks for a loan to purchase more animals (turkeys, chickens, among others), given that she wants to expand and diversify her animal stock, to be able to meet all the tastes and preferences of her consumer public. This investment will help her to have a larger variety and productivity of animals, with a great influence on her business, which in the short term in generate more income, more profit, and in the end will improve the quality of life for herself and her family.
