Aeshi's story

Aeshi is a 22-year-old businesswoman from Tanzania. She is the mother of one child. Aeshi is a volunteer Camfed Learner Guide at her local secondary school, where she encourages students to recognize the importance of education.

Aeshi also sells rice. She buys the rice from farmers and resells it to people in her village. To help her community members get good food, she is requesting a loan from Kiva so that she can rent a stall to store her rice. She would also like to sell the rice to different areas of her region.

She will use the profits she will earn to feed her daughter and send her to nursery school.
