Wcsl Pri Kapethe Group's story

Salone Microfinance Trust (SMT) is very pleased to present to you this group of primary school teachers from Kapethe village, near Makeni city in northern Sierra Leone.

They have come to SMT to apply for a loan of 13,400,000 Sierra Leonean Leones for the entire Team in order to meet their most immediate and most pressing financial needs. Some will use this loan to pay school fees for their children, others will buy plots of land; some will invest in business, pay school fees, etc. At the end of each month, they can easily repay the loan using their monthly salaries. It is their school’s bursar who is directly responsible for doing the deductions out of their salaries and repays SMT/Kiva lenders on behalf of the Team.
