A loan helped to pay for grocery items needed in her business.

Olivia's story

Olivia has faithfully paid back her previous loan, which she used for her business. She has been operating her own sari-sari (variety) store for years and she earns well from this. She sustains all her needs through her business while ably helping her family at the same time. She also works hard with the determination of having better income.

To improve sales, Olivia would like to apply for a new loan to purchase additional grocery goods to sell. With PHP 50,000, she could purchase more quantities and varieties of grocery items, toiletries and beverages needed in her business. She sincerely lets you know of her heartfelt thanks and appreciation for this assistance in advance.

In the future, Olivia hopes that her business will continue to cover her everyday needs and that she will always be able to help her family. She meets up with her co-fellowship* members to share stories of her life and business every week, and where she can also draw strength and inspiration from the fellowship and the word of God she studies.

* All CCT community partners/clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the word of God, build social capital, and repay microfinance loans.
