Gift Group's story

Greetings from Zimbabwe! This is fifty-three-year-old Alice from Mutare. She is widowed with three children. She also cares for five other dependents. Alice runs a retail business selling traditional herbs. The business has been in operation for sixteen years. She says the main challenge she faces is of high transport costs. Alice has requested a loan of $500 to buy more traditional herbs. She says the extra income generated as a result of this loan will allow her to improve her family's general welfare. In the future Alice plans to have two more market places. Alice is a member of a group called "Gift Group".
