Esperanza is 40 years old and is married, a housewife, and mother of six children who study at the school in their community. Her children bring her happiness and are her reason to fight and work hard to rise up. Agriculture is the only source of their familial income and sustenance. Through the income these activities generate, they buy food and other supplies that they cannot produce or create, such as: oil, sauces, toilet parts, medicines (despite the restrictions), etc., which help with the care of their health and hygiene. In her childhood, she learned to work the land in the company of her parents, who were farmers for generations. Her customers are the local grocery stores and intermediaries in the zone, who buy products to resell and obtain more profits from their different businesses.
Her goals, plans, and dreams are to have land that will produce coffee, which could generate good income and increased profits to give her children a better education, strengthen her family's legacy, and be able to continue moving forward. Their current situation is difficult, and prices are unstable for the materials and agricultural supplies that they need. She is asking for economic support to be able to care for her coffee plants through the purchase of leaf spray, fertilizer, compost, cleaner, and whatever else will help keep her coffee plants protected and healthy. Through this, she can obtain a good harvest at the end of the season.
