Issa's story

Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 37-year-old Issa from Waterloo, the western rural area in Freetown. He is married with two children between the ages of 4 years and 8 years. One of his children is attending school. He was a shop keeper, he started his business to change his status of living.

Issa runs a building material shop within a busy market area. He has been running this business for 15 years. He works at the business from 7:00 am until 6:00 pm, six days per week. Issa says that the main challenge to his business is transporting his goods from town to Waterloo.

Issa has requested a loan in order to purchase cement, zinc, nails and a locker door. The extra income from this loan will allow him to open a savings account and take care of his family's welfare. In the future, he plans to become a wholesaler. He thanks you for your support!
