Dúo Mercadito
Julia Leonor has a business selling American clothes (secondhand). Guatemalans call it ‘paca’ [pack or bundle]. She has been selling for approximately six years. She buys two lots of clothes a month. She needs to organize the clothes and the remnants, which are mostly earnings for her.
In three or four days Julia gets out the money invested in the business. During the following 11 days she gets her profits. Aside from having the clothing sales, she also has a shoe business. She has one employee who helps her at her place. She does this in order to be able to cope with the people and to have better financial control.
She is requesting this loan to buy more merchandise (clothes). This way she will increase her sales a little more.
