A loan helped to purchase more charcoal for her business.


Zoe's story

Zoe is 30 years old and lives in the West Point area, which has the most populated market in Montserrado County. She is married, and her husband does office work. She has five children ages 13, 10, 9, 7 and 5 who live at home and currently are attending school.

Zoe stated: I does not know how to read and write.

She described herself as a hardworking woman. For the past two years, she has been selling charcoal in the local market; she sells six days a week from 7AM to 5PM. She likes her business because she has lots of customers; she started this business with money given to her by husband. She uses a shared taxi every time to get her goods to her business spot.

Zoe is requesting a loan to purchase more charcoal for her business. Her dream is to build a house for her children.
