A loan helped to buy onions.

Victor Manuel's story

Víctor Manuel, 40, is married and has a beautiful family made up of ten children, six males and four females. Eight of them are minors and attend school. Víctor Manuel, his wife, and their children currently live in Barrio Chosij, in the town of San Antonio Palopó in Sololá Department.

He's a merchant by trade and currently works buying and selling vegetables. He buys vegetables in his community then sells them in the capital of Guatemala. He does this work for two reasons: because he doesn't have a plot of land to farm and because buying and selling earns him good profits with which he supports his family. He's experienced in this work because he has been doing it for 18 years.

He's requesting a loan for 4,000 quetzales [GTQ] to buy more onions because demand has increased.

Víctor Manuel's biggest dream is to improve his family's living conditions and for his children to be able to continue studying until they graduate.
