The group 8 de Diciembre [December 8th] is in its first loan cycle. They are from the city of Santaní and the group is made up of 11 women. They are all hard working women that are striving to get ahead and help their families.
All of the women raise and sell animals for a living. They say that it requires a lot of sacrifice and that it is a full time job because they have to keep an eye on their animals all day. Amalia sells animals that have already been slaughtered to businesses and food establishments.
She is requesting a loan to buy feed for her animals so that she can continue raising healthy animals.
