Ibrahim's story

This is 50-year-old Ibrahim II. He is married and has four children aged 8, 12, 14 and 17 years, all attending school. In 1995, Ibrahim II established his business selling second-hand school bags and building materials. He began his business because his father was a farmer, and going to school was not an option as the farm needed his help. He worked through his teenage years in the village with his family, and then decided to join a friend in Makeni Town in his second-hand business.

Working 7 days a week and 11 hours a day, Ibrahim II earns about Le 875,000 every month, usually selling his goods to peddlers and passersby. Shortage of supplies is his major problem. Having already received and repaid three loans, he is now requesting a new one for Le 4,000,000 to purchase the following: second-hand bags - 3 bales @ Le1,000,000; locks - 1 carton @ Le400,000; shine papers - 2 rolls @ Le150,000, and nails - 1 carton @ Le300,000.

Hardworking and reliable, Ibrahim II hopes to continue with this credit service so that he can develop himself. The loan will help as he is progressing gradually. In the future, he hopes to be supplier. He thanks you for your support.
