Maria, 38, is married and has 3 children. She lives with her family in the municipality of Santa Cruz de Yojoa in the department of Cortes.
Maria has been farming for 10 years; on her land, she cultivates vegetables such as cilantro, chayote, carrots, and radishes. She has been a client of ODEF who has requesting 10 loans previously. She has used those loans to keep going with her farming activities. She is now requesting another loan, of 25,000 Honduran lempiras, that she will use to fertilize her crops and prepare parcels of land for a new planting. This way she can expand her main crop, which is cilantro.
Maria's goal is to continue to work so that she can provide a higher standard of living for her family.
