Noemi's Group's story

Gloria, Idelfonza, and Noemí are members of the community bank Juanito. Gloria and Noemi have belonged to the bank for one year, while Idelfonza has been a member for three. Through the community bank, they have learned to avoid sickness and how to care for their children in addition to how to manage their businesses.

Now, she travels to fields outsiD. of the city and buys potatoes in bulk, which she then sells to others in the market. Occasionally, she transports potatoes to Lima. Gloria also has a field where she grows her own potatoes. In her free time Gloria cleans hotels.

Idelfonza is 51 years old. She is married and has five children. Idelfonza travels to different markets in the region of Ayacucho where she buys meats, cheeses, and grains, which she sells in the markets of Ayacucho.

Noemi is 27 years old. She is a single mother and has two children. Her 8 year old daughter likes to sing. Noemi has a store where she sells food staples such as rice, flour, and sugar. The store is located in her home. Noemi also buys blankets maD. in Ayacucho and sells them in the district of Tambo.

Gloria, Idelfonza, and Noemí need a loan of $925, which they will use to buy potatoes, meat, and a refrigerator.

Their dreams are to own a home, give their children a good education, buy land, and help Noemi’s daughter become a successful artist.
