Gbenonvi Group's story

The Gbenonvi group is made up of 4 people who all live in the same area. This is the 5th time the group is requesting a loan from ALIDé in order to be able to increase their level of business activity.

The group's representative, Valerienne Afiavi, is the woman in the picture with her hand raised. She is 51 years old and lives in Benin. She did not go to school. She is the mother of 2 children, both of whom have attended school. She no longer lives with her husband and is currently raising one child. She lives alone with her child and is solely responsible for their expenses.

Valerienne Afiavi has been selling various products - canned goods, soaps and fabrics - via the distribution system for around 15 years; this enables her to take care of her needs and those of her child. In order to be able to satisfy her customers and increase her turnover and revenue, Valerienne Afiavi is requesting, together with the other members of the Gbenonvi group, a 5th loan from ALIDé. They have fully repaid their first 4 loans.

In this group: Valerienne Afiavi, Catherine, Djamilatou, Séraphine Afiavi
