A loan helped a member to buy more vegetables to sell.


Kaja Group's story

Prisca, who is in her late twenties, is single. She has been running a vegetable selling business for one year now. She works from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily and is able to make a small monthly profit.

This will be her second loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loan to to increase her business stock and has successfully paid back her loan. She wants a loan to buy more vegetables to sell. Her dream is to one day be able to own a wholesale shop selling things like sugar, wheat flour, and baking flour.

She will share this loan with her loan group "Kaja" which has a total of 15 members, who will hold each other accountable in paying back their loans.
