Marie is the coordinator of her group, Cristo Y Nuestro Esfuerzo 4 & 7 (Christ and Our Effort). She is a young woman who is just 26 years old. She makes her home here in a simple structure with her parents. She says that her most difficult challenge is to recover her profits after she sells on credit. In the meantime, she plans to continue working and studying.
Marie is excited to be taking out a third loan with Esperanza. She has had her business for two years, starting out with her own savings. She plans to use this loan to invest in her business by buying some bags of used clothes and different miscellaneous products, like shoes, cosmetics and others. She is planning to use her business profits to become a professional and to help her family.
Marie´s group is located in the rural area surrounding La Romana, where the sugarcane harvest and tourist industry dominate the economy. She thanks all of you for your support!!!
