Jane Rose's story

Jane Rose lives in Uganda. She is married and has two children, one of whom is in school. She also takes care of an additional family member (a sister).

Jane Rose has a beauty salon. She has been in this business for three years, and she works six days out of every week. Jane Rose sells her products in a shop, by means of retail. She has requested a loan of 200,000 Ugandan Shillings from MCDT SACCO, which she will use to buy more boxes of cream relaxers and braids.

The main business challenges for Jane Rose include seasonality and the increasing prices of braids and cream relaxers. Her goals and aspirations for her business are to own a bridal salon.
