A loan helped to buy a milk cow and balanced animal feed.

Lino's story

Lino, aged 55, lives with his wife and children in their own home which does not have running water or electricity. It is located in the rural area of Tambogrande district, which is part of Piura deparment. This area is characterized by agriculture, livestock, and handicrafts.

For the last several years, Lino has worked in the business of farmyard animals (pigs, sheep and cows). He raises them in his farmyard, which is the area outside of his home. He feeds them on balanced animal feed and natural pastures. Once they have achieved their ideal growth, he sells them to his customers or in the different area markets, and with the income he is able to cover his needs and his family's expenses.

He has requested a loan of 2,000 New Soles from Edpyme Alternativa to buy a milk cow and balanced animal feed. Once he has fattened his animals, he will sell them to his customers. With the earnings, he will pay back the loan being offered, and improve his family's standard of living.

With much hard work and effort, Lino tries to move forward in life so as to be able to continue helping his family financially, and provide his children other opportunities.
