2026 marks five years of sobriety for me, a milestone that has completely reshaped how I view community and connection. Throughout this journey, I realized that our social landscapes often revolve around alcohol, which can create a sense of anxiety or awkwardness for those of us who choose not to drink. I often found myself wishing for a space where I didn't have to answer questions about why my glass looked different or feel out of place in a typical bar setting.

This inspired me to create Heartbutter. The name reflects the idea of having a soft heart--staying open to new people and prioritizing intentional conversations in a world that often feels divided by heat and argument. My passion is to provide a moody, elevated lounge experience that isn't just for the sober community, but also for the sober curious or anyone who simply wants to enjoy a high-quality night out without the haze or the hangover. This loan will help fund my launch pop-up, allowing me to create a sanctuary for genuine human connection and prove that a great time doesn't require a proof point.
