A loan helped to purchase medium-sized pigs, rice bran, feed, and plant protection products.

Andoniaina's story

Andoniaina is a 35-year-old married woman. The couple has two children. She lives on the outskirts of town in a family home. She is a grocer. In addition, she has been raising pigs for about ten years. Her husband owns a cash point.

She joined Vahatra to take out a loan. She will use it to further develop her pig farm and increase the family's income. She then turned to lenders to help her buy medium-sized pigs, rice bran, feed, and plant protection products. She will fatten her pigs before selling them to the town butcher, then buy more.

She will save her profits and plans to build their own house in the future.
