Tenneh's story

Greetings from Sierra Leone! Tenneh, aged 45, is from the Mattru Jong branch. She is a married businesswoman with four children aged between 10 and 20 years. All are currently attending school. 

Tenneh runs a retail business and sells cooking ingredients to her customers around the community. She started this business 10 years ago to take care of her family She says that her challenge is the slow rate of business sales.

Tenna requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase more cooking items; palm oil, garri (flour made from cassava), and pepper to increase her business. Tenneh says that the extra income from this loan will help to take care of her family.

In the future, she would like to expand to a larger scale. She says thanks to BRAC Sierra Leone and Kiva for their support.
