Isatu's story

Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 35-year-old Isatu from Moriba Town Branch. She is a married businesswoman with four children between the ages of 6 and 18 years old. They are currently attending school. She started this business to support her family.

Isatu runs a retail business and sells cooking items to her customers around the communities. She has been in this business for the past 10 years ago. Isatu says that her challenge is the increase in cost of goods and commodities in the country.

She requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase more cooking items such as onions, palm oil and, peppers to increase her business. Isatu says that the extra income from this loan will help to improve her family. In the future, she would like to expand to a larger scale. She says thanks to BRAC and Kiva for their support.
