A loan helped to purchase fish to sell.

Leimala's story

Leimala, 43, is a committed mother with three children ages 19, 18, and 15. She lives with her family in the metropolitan town of Efate. Her partner is employed, and all of her children attend school. This is her first loan with SPBD. She presently makes money by purchasing fresh fish and selling it at the local market.

Leimala started her business one year ago with the goal of meeting her family's basic home needs. Her dream is to start a new business in the kava industry. Her current goals are to purchase more fresh fish from local fishermen in her neighborhood and sell it at the local market in town. However, she cannot attain her goal due to financial limitations.

She is seeking a loan to buy fish. The profits from the business will be used to meet home expenses, pay for her children's school fees, and save money. With this financing, she is encouraged to grow her business and create a bright future for herself and her family.
