Abibatu's story

Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 27-year-old Abibatu from Mattru Jong Branch. She is a married businesswoman with a child the age of four years old who is currently attending school. She started this business to develop herself.

Abibatu runs a retail business and sells clothes and shoes to her customers around the communities. She has been in this business for the past eight years. Abibatu says that her challenge is the increase in the cost of goods and commodities in the country.

She requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase more clothes and shoes to increase her business. Abibatu says that the extra income from this loan will help to improve her family. In the future, she would like to expand to a large scale. She says thanks to BRAC and Kiva for their support.
