A loan helped to buy seeds, fertilizers, compost, boxes, and baskets, among other agricultural supplies, for her crops of cacao, corn, beans and pigeon peas.

Guisela Beatriz's story

Guisela lives in the community of La Unión. She is a cheerful, caring, and hardworking young woman who lives with her son and her partner in a mixed-construction house, made of cane and cement. Currently, Guísela is pregnant, a piece of news that has filled her entire family with happiness.

Both she and her husband work in agriculture, specifically growing cacao, corn, beans, and pigeon peas, products that are native to this warm and humid area. With more than 20 years' experience, this humble couple has the necessary knowledge to obtain an abundant production and place their harvests in local markets.

Guísela dreams of modernizing her crops and achieving international certification that will distinguish her work from other farmers. For this reason, she is requesting a loan from the Kiva organization to buy seeds, fertilizers, compost, boxes, and baskets, among other agricultural supplies.
With faith and hope, she asks God that her baby be born healthy and that she will be able to see them grow up happily, becoming a good human being.
