A loan helped to buy more charcoal to sell.

Yourna's story

Yourna, 39, is from Liberia and lives with her partner and three children who are currently in school. She completed school up to twelfth grade. She runs a business selling charcoal. She started the business with her own savings and has been operating her sales for fifteen years. She uses a car to transport supplies to her business site and works Monday through Saturday.

Yourna is seeking a loan to buy more charcoal to sell to her good clients. This will help her grow financially. She likes her business because it provides her family with daily meals. Her dream for the future is to own a bigger business. She wishes to say thanks.

This loan is special because:

It serves low-income individuals in rural Liberia where few alternative funding sources exist.
