For over 23 years, he has worked in agriculture, combining coffee and basic grains. Today he tends five manzanas of Parainema coffee - one of them in the pruning stage - and last season registered 16.34 quintals of parchment coffee according to the receipts. He completes his work with three manzanas of Olotillo corn located near his home and, at his house, he maintains a small sales business which is not part of his primary income.
He will invest the loan in fertilization. He will purchase 18, 12-23-12, and urea to nourish the coffee and corn plants, strengthen the blossoms, improve the fullness of the grain, and recover the plot in the pruning stage.
His dream is to elevate the performance per manzana, stabilize his family's income, and continue renewing the coffee plants to leave a solid legacy. He is grateful to Kiva for the boost which makes it possible to continue growing.
